  • Product Description
  • [ Performance Features ]

MSD-139 is a specially structured silicone surfactant that promotes cell nucleation and expandability in polyurethane systems. Under specific process and formulation conditions, it enables moderate control over cell size and uniformity. This unique property imparts the cured polyurethane system with notable muscle-like texture, combined with its inherent smoothness, resulting in a strong synthetic leather-like feel.

    [ Technical Indicators ]

    1. Appearance: Light-colored, transparent, and flowable liquid

(Below 0℃, it tends to become cloudy and non-flowing; however, thawing does not affect its performance.)

    2. Viscosity (25°C, mPa·s): 3000–5000

    3. Non-volatile content (120°C, 3h): >98%

    [ Usage and Dosage ]

Used as a fiber-forming additive for both dry and wet resin processes, MSD-139, due to its hydroxyl group content, requires wet-resin applications to be formulated as a two-component system or with pre-capping of the -NCO groups. The typical addition level can range from 0.2% to 1% by weight of the total resin, chosen according to specific needs. It is recommended to first conduct preliminary experiments to determine the optimal balance between cost-effectiveness and desired performance.

    [ Packaging and Storage & Transportation ]

Packaged in 50kg or 200kg plastic drums, this product has a shelf life of 12 months when unopened. After the expiration date, it should be re-inspected; if no significant abnormalities are found, it may still be safely used. This product is classified as non-hazardous for storage and transportation, so it is recommended to store it in a cool, well-ventilated area—away from ignition sources and direct sunlight.
